I was four the first time I took a noteworthy photo.
We were on a family trip to Hawaii and we had gotten up early to catch the sunrise on top of Mount Haleakalā. As the sun came up, my little body was wracked with altitude sickness. Before I could throw up, my mom quickly held me up so I could put my Kodak disposable camera to my eye and snap a picture. The picture I captured was a beautiful shot of the sun rising over the dormant volcano, casting everything in a beautiful silhouette. That photo still hangs in my mother's house.
I have had a passion for photography ever since, wanting to capture beautiful moments and incapsulate them forever.
